Michael Frost talking about the importance of developing new “measuring sticks” or “scorecards” for the church. He emphasizes the need to find new ways to measure where the rule/reign of God is flourishing. What sort of things can we “measure” that will illustrate evidence of the Kingdom?
The purpose of Time Out is to minister to our Next Generation leaders in a ‘relational retreat’ style with the emphasis of building a strong life foundation for leadership. Time Out is as a ‘heart’ event – a safe place for our leaders to be ministered to and build life long Christ centered friendships. Registration is available by clicking to the Time Out Registration page.
Stay tuned for Youth Leadership Training Clinics and Children’s Leadership Training Clinics; “The Ultimate Disciple” NGM will be hosting regional leadership training clinics starting this fall. The Life Campaign is about a network of young people from all over Canada who know that how we live at home, can make a difference on the other side of the world. The 2010 Life Campaign is focusing again on providing clean water for those in developing nations who have little or no access to it. We have been focusing on digging water wells since 2008, and have decided to continue with this project in 2010 because of the great success and buy-in we have seen from people across our nation. And now we want to tell you about Beautiful Day, this October 29th.
Beautiful Day, October 29th, 2010, is going to play an important role in the Life Campaign. It will be the focused fundraising day of the Campaign. While youth groups and students will be fundraising all throughout the year, we’d like to make one month of our busy calendar years to be our primary focus month for raising and gathering funds for the much needed wells around our world. By bringing a focus to the month of October, culminating with a Beautiful Day on the 29th, we hope to bring a higher profile to this very important cause. Over the past five years we have been working with churches and organizations through a ministry called Goodbye Generation. Our goal has simply been to re-engage the youth, young adults, and even adults who appear to have walked away from our churches. Last year the first book in a series was released, called, ‘Goodbye Generation’. Now the follow up booked called ‘The Disciple‘ is being released. This book is intended to challenge every believer personally while sparking a change that can help each one of us be a part in reaching and keeping those we minister to. I believe this will be a huge blessing to you and your ministry. This book does not have to be read in series as each book is a complete work in itself. Please take a moment and visit the website. Be blessed.
